Since 2018, HiHello has been on a mission to help businesses and professionals strengthen relationships and activate their networks. We’ve reinvented business cards for the digital age, empowering connections with a robust toolkit including digital business cards, email signatures, and virtual backgrounds.
At HiHello, we needed to provide prospects visiting our website with a seamless way to book a meeting with our sales team. However, as our sales team grew, we also wanted to ensure we could route those leads to the appropriate salesperson.
Initially, we planned to handle this entirely within HubSpot, but we encountered some challenges. One limitation was HubSpot's inability to redirect prospects to different booking links after form submission based on qualifying criteria like company size. Since we needed to route prospects to the appropriate team efficiently, we had to explore alternative solutions.
After researching third-party options, we came across Chili Piper. It was clear that they had identified the right problem—segmenting inbound leads and routing them based on specific criteria. Their solution addressed our needs effectively, and we decided to move forward with it.
When I inherited HiHello’s Chili Piper setup, I found the platform functional but not as intuitive as I had hoped. Managing it required careful attention to detail to ensure changes were implemented correctly. That said, it was a good stepping stone that helped us address a critical gap in our process.
HiHello already used Avoma for recording our sales calls. When we learned that Avoma had built an integrated lead router and scheduling tool as an alternative to Chili Piper, we were very curious to try it out.
HiHello transitioned to using Avoma's lead routing and scheduling functionality. It was very easy to switch from Chili Piper to Avoma! In fact, to ensure things were working correctly, we first implemented the change on just one page on our website so that both were running simultaneously. Once we confirmed that the Avoma scheduling was working smoothly, we added it to all the pages and canceled our Chili Piper subscription.
Using Avoma’s Scheduling and Lead Routing has been a breeze. The product is thoughtfully implemented and logical to set up and use. You first create a calendar link for each account executive and then add a lead router that can direct between team members.
Moving people from one team to another, adding new people, or even removing people from a team (yes, that happens in sales) is also straightforward.
As a sales leader, having a tool that is easy to set up, easy to manage, and works reliably has been a great experience.
